When it comes to the music scene in western New York, there is an artist or band for every musical taste. When it comes to rock, the guys of DoDriver are among the best there is.
After performing as one of the opening bands for award winning Detroit rockers KISS at Darien Lake in 2010, the band has continued to perform around western New York including performances at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Last October the band made their first European tour with 12 shows in 14 days in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Croatia, and Switzerland.
Despite a few logistical issues like small showers, wet bed sheets from leaking roofs, and missing equipment – somehow the luggage never made it on the plane in Toronto and finally showed up halfway through the sour – band members Mark, Chris, Mike, and Jody – rocked the stage at every venue, making new friends…and fans…along the way. And the band said that the fans bought merchandise at every show.
Back home in the U.S., DoDriver headed for the studio to put the finishing touches on a new album – “Hi-Test” – which is due to be released on May 26. They are also beginning to make plans for another tour in 2019…this time along the eastern seaboard of the United States.
There are some who say that rock music is dead, but as long as DoDriver keeps creating music…rock is here to stay.
