Kelloggs has long had a tradition of placing sports heroes on the boxes of their Corn Flakes and Wheaties cereals. But for the first time, Kelloggs will bestow that honour on a Paralympian. Snowboard-Cross and Banked Slalom award winner Mike Schultz won gold medal and silver medals in the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in Peyongchang, Korea in his first Paralympics. Schultz was also the flag bearer for the opening ceremonies of The Games.
Schultz is also a member of Team Kelloggs. As the first Team Kelloggs Paralympian to win a gold medal, Kelloggs is placing Mike Schultz’s image on the boxes of their Gold Medal Edition Corn Flakes boxes.
The Mike Schultz Gold Medal Corn Flakes boxes are a limited edition box available only through KelloggsFamilyRewards.com.
Mike Schultz lost his left leg above the knee after a snowmobile accident while competing in 2008. Less than a year after the accident, Schultz returned to competing using a prosthetic leg that he had designed.
Not only is Schultz’s prosthetic design being used by over 100 amputees, he has won eight X Games gold medals, and has been inducted into the United States Athletes with Disabilities Network Hall of Fame.
