Hollywood week continues on “American Idol” as the remaining 77 singers prepare for the final solo round…and a hope of making it to the top 24.

The singers will be performing with a band for the first time and will not get any feedback from the judges; they will have to wait until the end of the day to learn their fate.

During the auditions, several singers performed original songs but chose to perform covers for Hollywood Week. Harper Grace chose to perform another one of her original songs in the solo round.

Noah Davis noted that the hardest part of Hollywood Week is the lack of sleep.

Catie Turner and Maddie Poppe also chose to perform an original song.

Michelle Sussett has had vocal issues all week but when it came time to perform in the solo round, all her troubles were behind her. She brought the judges to their feet with her performance.

Several of the singers had voice issues which resulted in less than perfect performances.

Lionel’s callback artist Ron Bultongez had Luke wanting to raid his closet for jackets. Ron sang “Home” by Idol winner Phillip Phillips. Idol alums Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry also had their music covered by the singing hopefuls.

Crystal Alicea had trouble remembering the lyrics during the group performance and she continued to have difficulty in the solo round singing Adele’s “Fire to the Rain”.

Britney Holmes was originally told no by the judges but thanks to a vote by America she got a secnd chance and has survived Hollywood Week long enough to at least make it to the solo round.

Thaddeus Johnson chose one of judge Katy Perry’s own songs – “Rise” – for his performance and brought Katy to her feet saying that he did the song better than she does.

Laine was another artist who had song issues during the group performance, but redeemed himself in his solo performance.

After all of the solos have been completed, the singers are divided up into three rooms.

After all of the singers were assigned a room, Thaddeus was taken out of room one and put in room three.

Katy, Luke, and Lionel announce to room one that they are moving on to the next round.

The other rooms can hear the cheers from the singers in room one.

The judges inform the singers in room two the answer was no with Lionel telling them that the time is just not right.

But for the singers in room three Luke announced that they have made it through to the next round.

On Monday the remaining 50 singers must perform in a live performance showcase before the judges reveal the top 24.
