After a couple of weeks off the Camping World Truck Series returns to the track on a cold Saturday in Martinsville, Virginia. With a threat of snow in the air, the CWTS is set to run the Alpha Energy Solutions 250.

After three rounds of qualifying Ben Rhodes wins his third pole and will bring the field to the green flag.

With 33 trucks for 32 spots, Mike Harmon did not qualify for the race.

This week there are no Monster Energy Cup Series drivers participating in the CWTS race.

Stages one and two of the race are 70 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps. The race is considered complete at the end of stage two.

The start of the race was delayed while the drivers circled the half mile track under caution with snow flurries in the air and reports of a slick track.

Ben Rhodes brings the field down to start the race and holds on to the top spot to lead lap one.

Lap four, Todd Gilliland have moved up to 27th place. Ben Rhodes is leading the race with Matt Crafton in second; Kyle Benjamin, Grant Enfinger, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.

Lap seven, Ben Rhodes is still in the lead, followed by Matt Crafton. Todd Gilliland is up to 21st place in his first Truck Series start of the season.

Lap 12 Ben Rhodes continues to keep his green truck out in front for the lead with Matt Crafton over a second behind.

Lap 19 Ben Rhodes is still out in front of the field with the track under caution for Mike Senica’s stalled truck but have continued the caution flag for precipitation on the track.

Lap 23, still under caution, the drivers bring their trucks down pit road as NASCAR throws the red flag.

NASCAR has postponed the race because of the weather. The CWTS race will continue after the Monster Energy Cup Series race on Sunday.

After a red flag condition of over 45 hours, the CWTS finally returns to the track in Martinsville.

The trucks were parked out in the cold, but it has not slowed the drivers down. Ben Rhodes brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 27 but is quickly passed by Matt Crafton for the lead.

Lap 30 Ben Rhodes passed Matt Crafton and retakes the lead of the race.

Lap 33 the top five are Ben Rhodes, Matt Crafton, rant Enfinger, Kyle Benjamin, and Johnny Sauter.

Lap 38, Ben Rhodes has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second and a half on Matt Crafton. The top five remains the same with Grant Enfinger, Kyle Benjamin, and Johnny Sauter.

Lap 49 Ben Rhodes continues to lead the race by nearly two seconds over Matt Crafton.

Lap 57, Ben Rhodes continues to dominate the stage and the race with a lead of nearly two seconds on Matt Crafton.  There are 27 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 65 Jennifer Jo Cobb’s brakes are on fire but she makes it to pit road and the track stays green. Ben Rhodes now has a lead of two and a half seconds on Matt Crafton with Grant Enfinger in third, Johnny Sauter in fourth, and Kyle Benjamin in fifth.

Taking only two tires, Stewart Friesen wins the race off of pit road.

Cody Coughlin was held a lap on pit road for pitting outside of his pit box. Grant Enfinger lost five spots after a slow pit stop.

Stewart Friesen rings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 83 with Ben Rhodes passing Friesen to take the lead.

Lap 86 Stewart Friesen brings out the caution flag when he spins out. Tyler Matthews, Dawson Cram, Cody Coughlin, and Harrison Burton were also involved in the wreck in a chain reaction event.

Stewart Friesen has been held for two laps after having too many crew members over the pit wall attempting to repair his truck.

Lap 93 Ben Rhodes brings the field down for the green flag restart and holds on to the lead.

Lap 94 Todd Gilliland passes Ben Rhodes to take the lead of the race but Rhodes nose to nose with Gilliland.

Lap 96 Ben Rhodes retakes the lead of the race with Todd Gilliland in second; Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, and John Hunter Nemechek round out the top five.

Lap 100, Ben Rhodes has a half second lead on Todd Gilliland with Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, and John Hunter Nemechek rounding out the top five. There are 22 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 107 Ben Rhodes holds on to his half second lead on Todd Gillland.

Lap 116 Tyler Matthews brings out the caution flag when he hits the wall and gets into some snow in the grass after making contact with Stewart Freisen.

FOX broadcasters report that Johnny Sauter has been in the top 10 in the last 23 race stages.

Lap 135 the top five is Ben Rhodes, Todd Gilliland, Johnny Sauter, Matt Crafton, and John Hunter Nemechek.

Ben Rhodes had a number of issues on pit road and will restart the race in 15th place. Kyle Benjamin is leading the race.

Kyle Benjamin brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 152. Benjamin and Dalton Sargeant stayed out on the track and did not make a pit stop at the end of stage two.

The drivers are getting three wide across the track.

Lap 155 Kyle Benjamin is in the lead with Grant Enfinger in second and Austin Hill in third.

Lap 157 Kyle Benjamin has a half second lead on Grant Enfinger; with Todd Gilliland, John Hunter Nemechek, and Brett Moffitt rounding out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 159 when Justin Fontaine and Tyler Matthews spins out. Ben Rhodes has moved up to eleventh place since the start of stage three.

Kyle Benjamin brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 164 and holds on to the lead despite a challenge from Grant Enfinger.

Ben Rhodes is reporting a tight issue in traffic.

Lap 169, Kyle Benjamin has a half second lead on Grant Enfinger with Todd Gilliland, Brett Miffitt, and John Hunter Nemechek rounding out the top five.

Leader Kyle Benjamin is making his first CWTS race; he has a lead of nearly a second on Grant Enfinger with 22 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 180 the top five are Kyle Benjamin, Grant Enfinger, Todd Gilliland, Brett Moffitt, and John Hunter Nemechek.

Lap 186 Kyle Benjamin has a two second lead on Grant Enfinger and Todd Gilliland who are battling for second.

With 60 laps remaining in the race, the drivers are beginning to bump and block each other for position.

Grant Enfinger is reporting a very tight issue, saying that he can’t turn.

Lap 192 Kyle Benjamin’s lead is down to a second and a half over Todd Gilliland; John Hunter Nemechek, Grant Enfinger, and Brett Moffit round out the top five.

Lap 196 Todd Gilliland has closed the gap on leader Kyle Benjamin to a second.

Lap 207, Kyle Benjamin has a lead of less than a second on Todd Gilliland. After dominating the race, Ben Rhodes is mired in 12th place reporting tight and overheating issues.

Only 39 laps remaining in the race, Kyle Benjamin’s lead is now over a second on Todd Gilliland with John Hunter Nemechek, Grant Enfinger, and Brett Moffit in rounding out the top five. There are only 17 trucks on the lead lap.

The caution flag comes out on lap 214 for debris on the track.

Kyle Benjamin brings the field down for the green flag restart with just 31 laps remaining in the race. Benjamin, Todd Gilliland, and John Hunter Nememchek made it three wide with John Hunter Nemechek taking the lead of the race.

Lap 221 John Hunter Nemeche leads the race with Grant Enfinger ins second, Kyle Benjamin in third, Todd Gilliland in fourth, and Brett Moffit in fifth.

The caution flag comes out when Johnny Sauter had an on track issue and was hit from behind by Matt Crafton.

Johnny Sauter had power issues and had to replace the battery in his truck.

John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag restart.

With only 20 laps remaining in the race, John Hunter Nemechek is in the lead with Kyle Benjamin in second; Brett Moffitt, Grant Enfinger, and Noah Gragson round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 233 when Robby Lyons is stopped on the track with engine issues.

John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 238 and holds on to the lead of the race.

The caution flag comes out for Reid Wilson before the lap is complete.

Fox broadcaster Michael Waltrip noted that it would take a miracle to finish the race without another caution flag.
