Despite numerous announcements and signs forbidding mobile phone use, venues are filled with concert going fans who pay more attention to their phones taking photos and shooting videos.

Rocker Jack White is determined that people who come to his concerts have their attention on the stage and not their phones.

When White launches his upcoming tour, there will be a policy of “no recording devices allowed” – including phones.

According to a statement from White’s team, “upon arrival at the venue, all phones and other photo or video-capturing gizmos will be secured in a Yondr pouch that will be unlocked at the end of the show. You keep your pouch-secured phone on you during the show and, if needed, can unlock your phone at any time in a designated Yondr Phone Zone located in the lobby or concourse.”

White will also have an official tour photographer on hand to capture the show and fans will be able to access those photos after the show via jackwhiteiii.com and his Instagram site @officialjackwhitelive.

White says, “repost our photos & videos as much as you want and enjoy a phone-free, 100% human experience.”
