In 2015 The Grateful Dead released a Best Of collection from their vault of studio recordings. On March 23 they will be releasing a live performance set.
“The Best of the Grateful Dead Live” is a two disc career spanning release that features recording from official albums and a few from the Dead’s own vault. The Grateful Dead last performed live in 1995 at Soldier Field in Chicago; “So Many Roads” from that performance is included in the package.
In their hey day, it was a mark of true Dead fan was one who could boast about the number of concerts they had attended. Fans would often follow the band from city to city – selling their wares in the makeshift parking lot market to earn enough money for the next show.
Songs included on the two disc set are:
“St. Stephen”
“Bertha”
“Wharf Rat”
“Sugar Magnolia”
“Jack Straw”
“Truckin’”
“Morning Dew”
“Brown Eyed Women”
“The Music Never Stopped”
“Estimated Prophet”
“Friend of the Devil
“Feel Like a Stranger”
“Fire on the Mountain”
“Bird Song”
“Ripple”
“Eyes of the World”
“Touch of Grey”
“Blow Away”
“So Many Roads”
