Last week popular female race car driver Danica Patrick announced that she had acquired a sponsor for her final two races – Go Daddy – but had yet to secure a ride for those two final races – the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500.
On January 22 Patrick announced that she now has a car for “The Great American Race” in Daytona on February 18.
Patrick will be driving the number seven Premium Motorsports Chevrolet with Tony Eury Jr as crew chief atop the pit box.
When Patrick first came to NASCAR she drove the number seven car and had Tony Eury Jr for her crew chief.
Premium Motorsports has obtained a charter for the number seven car which means that she will definitely be in the race but will still have to qualify to determine her starting spot.
In 2013 Danica Patrick sat on the pole for the Daytona 500.
Plans for racing in the Indianapolis 500 have not yet been announced or finalized.
