Country music icon Mel Tillis died November 19 in Ocala at the age of 85.
The family has announced a public memorial for the star on January 31 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The event is free and open to the public.
Along with children Pam, Sonny, and Carrie April; Tillis’ band The Statesiders, Alison Krauss with Street Corner Symphony, Ricky Skaggs, Brenda Lee, Jamey Johnson, Collin Raye, Daryle Singletary, Lorrie Morgan, Ira Dean, Ray Stevens, and Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will all take the stage to pay tribute to the Country music legend.
