The Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction returns this weekend  with everything a theatre mega-fan could dream of.

The Flea Market and Auction are one of the many fund raising efforts Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS holds throughout the year to raise money for charitable endeavours.

This year the annual event is celebrating 40 years.

The fun begins at 10am and runs until 7pm on Sunday, September 27 at Shubert Alley from 44th through 45th Streets in the heart of Times Square featuring over 60 tables of merchandise from vendors and Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.

Autographed Playbills, props, costumes, and posters are all up for sale.

The Flea Market runs through the day but expect to find lines at some of the most popular tables; so be patient.  Wear comfortable shoes and be sure to bring plenty of snacks and drinks to stay hydrated.

Broadway Cares has an interactive map on their website to help you plan you day.

Concerned about carrying cash???  Don’t fret, the Flea Market offers tap to pay options.

The silent auction runs all day with new lots every 30 minutes.

Online bidding begins on September 25 at 2pm.  The live bidding will pick up where the online bidding left off.

And the Grand Auction begins at 5pm in the heart of Times Square and will feature the really unique experience items.

Proxy bidding is available for both the silent and live auctions if you aren’t able to make it person but still want a chance to win. E-mail auctions@broadwaycares.org for more information.

Want to meet and greet the stars??? A $30 donation gets you access to the Autograph Table beginning at 11am and running to 2pm with three shifts of stars on the deck of Junior’s restaurant.  There is a limit of two items to autographing.
