While the racing was fairly clean – no major pile ups – Bristol was not without some excitement in this first triple header weekend in The Chase when the Craftsman Truck Series kicked off their Chase.

The big excitement in the Cup Series race took place after the race.  While Joey Logano was celebrating his third win of the season, Ryan Blaney and Carsson Hocevar. 

During the race Blaney came down on Hocevar in an attempt to block, Hocevar did not lift, Blaney spun out and was crashed out of the race.  An unhappy Blaney stated in front of cameras that something was going to happen.  After the race, Blaney went after Hocevar and Hocevar responded with a few punches.  The incident is now in NASCAR’s hands.

After it was all said and done, Kyle Larson took over the points lead by just one point over Denny Hamlin.  Logano jumps four spots to take third.
