Over the weekend, the animated comedy series “Sout Park” won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program as a part of the Creative Arts Emmys presentation.

For the past two seasons, the White House – more specifically the current resident – has provided Trey Parker and Matt Stone with more than enough material for the show.

Airing on “Comedy Central”, Parker and Stone had free reign for their ” most explicit and politically charged episodes in the series’ history”.

“South Park” creator Trey Parker noted that “politics became pop culture.”

Parker added, “it’s like the government is just in your face everywhere you look.  Whether it’s the actual government or whether it is all the podcasters and the TikToks and the YouTubes and all of that, and it’s just all political and political because it’s more than political. It’s pop culture.”

Joining in on the current U.S. government trend, “South Park” has decided to rename the show.  No longer “South Park”, the show has been renamed “Sout America”.

In a statement show creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said, “inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of ‘South Park’ to ‘SOUTH AMERICA,’.  We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount – a Skydance Capitulation.”

The renaming is a parody of the executive order by the administration in Washington, D.C. to rename Lake Ontario, Lake America in the most recent trade war with Canada.  Both Google and Apple caved to the pressure and have renamed the Lake – as they did the Gulf – on their maps for U.S. customers.

In typical White House fashion, they issued a statement in 2025 on “South Park” saying, “’South Park’ hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”  Well guess what White House????  “South Park” has an Emmy Award – guess they are relevant now!

“Sout Park America” will return with Season 29 on September 16 at 10pm on Comedy Central with more White House Parodies.
