When I was a kid, we had to have our rooms in order and the bed made before we went to school.

I remember my stepmother saying one time that she could not go to bed in an unmade bed, even if she had to make it up and climb right in it.

Me, I don’t have that problem, and my bed is never made up…well with the exception of the when I change the sheets.

That is a chore in itself!

Short me cannot reach the other side of the bed which is against the wall. I like leaning up against the wall when I read at night before going to sleep.

So, making up a bed with fresh sheets is a major undertaking for me…not to mention all the pillows and other stuff that goes on the bed. Never have too many pillows or blankets in winter.

I’m sure the bed isn’t the only thing I do different from my mother. She always had a washer and dryer. I go to the laundry and stuff everything in the front load washer. Some stuff gets dried and other get brought home and hung up in the bathroom to dry.
