In his ever expanding effort to bring American football to the world, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has secured another new venue to showcase the American sport – Australia.

Helping to open the season in September, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams will face off on the Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia.

In true NFL Playoff fashion, halftime will feature some musical entertainment from one of the hottest trios in music – The Jonas Brothers!

The international NFL schedule for the 2026-27 season features seven countries on four continents.

The Jonas Brothers issues a statement saying, “we couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia.  Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor.”

Senior director of global game presentation for the NFL Tim Tubito spoke on the game in Australia saying, “the Jonas Brothers are global entertainers whose music connects across generations, making them the ideal artists to help us celebrate this historic game in Melbourne.  We look forward to delivering a memorable halftime performance for our fans in Australia and those watching around the world.”

The game will air on Netflix in the United States.
