Record producer and composer Tay Keith died June 18, 2026 in Nashville at the age of 29.  No cause of death of given but four play was not suspected.

Police stated that Tay Keith was found dead in hiss apartment after making a welfare check.

Born BryTavious Lakeith Chambers on September 20, 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee, he began creating his own beats at age 14.  Tay Keith noted as a child all he and his family listened to was Memphis music.

Noting his hard childhood, Tay Keith gave back to the community that raised him, providing meals and gifts for underprivileged children and to show them there is a way out of the poverty.

From there he worked with fellow Memphis native BlocBoy JB and grabbed the attention of Canadian hip-hop artist Drake.  He was 21 when the trio earned their first hit with “Look Alive”.

His biggest hit was “Sico Mode” with Travis Scott which earned them a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Song.

During Tay Keith’s short musical career, he worked with Future, Travis Scott, Beyonce, Drake, Eminem, Sexxy Red, Jack Harlow and Doja Cat, Moneybagg Yo, NLE Choppa, Key Glock, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Durk, Yo Gotti, and Aitch and AJ Tracey.
