SLAVERY!
Since the world began, there has always been one group of people who believed it was all right to enslave another group of people.
This has NEVER been a good idea!
When one group of people are enslaved, it immediately prompts a belief of inferiority; the enslaved group quickly becomes second-class citizens and sometimes even less than human…ergo, the decision by the Unted States government citing enslaved Africans as property and THREE-FIFTHS of a person!!!
Suddenly it is okay to view them as dispensable and easy to replace – ho-hum, guess I’ll have to find another one!
The Egyptians enslaved the Hebrews and had no qualms about working them literally to death as they were forced to build monuments to the Pharaohs under a scorching hot desert sun.
What part of this is a good idea???????
The colour of one’s skin or religious beliefs should never be a reason to treat them as less than human pieces of property.
And while the United States no longer condones slavery, it has never totally disappeared…anywhere in the world!
