Recently NASCAR announced that they would be holding a public memorial service for Kyle Busch.
On July 16, the historic quarter-mile oval of Bowman Gray Stadium announced that on August 21 they will be holding the Kyle Busch Invitational. The event will honour the life and legacy of Kyle Busch with Legends and Bandoleros races. As many as 51 Legends cars and 18 Bandoleros cars will be participating in the event.
Proceeds from the Kyle Busch Invitational will go to benefit the Samantha and Kyle Busch foundation Bundle of Joy – a non-profit organization that aids couple who have issues with fertility to start a family.
FloSports and the NASCAR Channel will carry the races.
President, Martinsville Speedway, and VP, NASCAR Mid-Atlantic Division Clay Campbell spoke on the event saying, “it’s an honor to host the Kyle Busch Invitational at Bowman Gray Stadium and celebrate the life and legacy of one of racing’s most accomplished drivers. This event brings together the passion of our fans, the rich history of the Madhouse and an incredible cause through The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund. This will be a special night for our fans, our community and everyone involved.”
Vice President of U.S. Legend Cars International and the INEX Racing Series G.E. Chapman spoke on Kyle Busch whose eleven year old son Brexton currently races Bandoleros saying, “the Legend Car played an important role in Kyle’s development on his path to becoming one of the greatest race car drivers of his generation. To celebrate Kyle’s life and legacy with a Legend Car and Bandolero event at Bowman Gray Stadium, while also recognizing the incredible impact he and Samantha have made through The Bundle of Joy Fund, is a tremendous honor. We’re proud to be part of an event that celebrates both his accomplishments in motorsports and the lasting difference he continues to make off the race track.”
