The Billboard music charts have gone “Back to the Future” with two artists reaching the top 10 together in the Billboard 200 Album chart for the first time in 25 years!
Madonna’s “Confessions II” album has debuted in the number one position.
Thanks to the success of the “Michael” film, Michael Jackson’s music is enjoying a resurgence with his Diamond certified album “Thriller” holding down the number 10 spot on the chart.
This is only the second time in music history that both artists have appeared on the Billboard 200 Album chart together. The first time was in 2001 when Jackson’s “Invincible” was in the number four spot and Madonna’s “GHV2: Greatest Hits Volume 2” debuted at number seven.
The duo have come close to sharing the charts on other occasions; but missed out by only one week. The biggest reason the duo have missed sharing the charts is due to the fact that their albums were not released at the same time.
