This past weekend NASCAR returned to Chicagoland Speedway after a seven year absence with races in the O’Reilly Auto Parts and Cup Series.

Chase Briscoe held off Christopher Bell to earn his first win of the season. 

Again this week Tyler Reddick had more car issues that saw him finish four laps down and drop to second place in the points standings, 44 point down to Denny Hamlin.

There are just seven more races before the playoffs begin.

After a rain delay of over four hours that dropped some four inches of rain on the area, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series finally got the race started and finished with the first overtime of the season just before midnight central time with Brandon Jones winning the race.

While Justin Allgaier continues to hold a dominant lead on the point standings, the lead is now less than 200 points at 195 points over Jesse Love.
