Currently on tour in Europe, British Heavy Metal band Saxon. So far, only the dates in the British Isles have been released but plans are to perform many more shows with dates being released in the near future. The “Gods of Thunder” tour begins in February.
And the band isn’t the only ones going on the tour…The 30-foot mechanized Eagle and the “Castles and Eagles” stage production are making a return. Due to venue restrictions, the band will not be able to have the Eagle on stage at Cardiff.
Saxon frontman Biff Byford spoke on the tour via statement saying, “we wanted to make the Gods of Thunder U.K. & Ireland tour extra special and what better way than to fly our beloved Saxon Eagle again. Get ready for take-off!”

Formed in 1977, Saxon joined fellow rockers Iron Maiden and Def Leppard in creating the British heavy metal sound.
