Fans of the Craftsman Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series are used to seeing different drivers behind the wheel in some of the vehicles each week.

Road and street course races always bring out a group of experts – ringers – to help the teams earn better finishes and more points.

And the inaugural street course race at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego is no different.

When the Truck Series takes to the track on Friday night for the Navy 250, points leader Layne Riggs, Kaden Honeycutt, Ben Rhodes, Justin Haley, and Daniel Hemric who have all won races on NASCAR road course tracks will have some competition from Hall of Fame driver Jimmie Johnson, Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks, former Truck Series regular Brendan Gaughan, broadcasters Jamie McMurray and Parker Kligerman, and Cup Series driver AJ Allmendinger.  Jamie McMurray  will be driving the number 25 Kaulig Racing guest Ram truck this week.

Officially 35 teams have brought trucks to San Diego for 36 starting spots; all of the drivers will make the field for the 3.4 mile street course.
