Mother Nature was kind this past weekend and the skies were clear but hot for the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Several drivers had to start from the back of the field after crews made repairs after tire issues and were charged with making unapproved adjustments including Denny Hamlin.

But in the end it proved to be no problem and Hamlin worked his way through the field to win the race. Y a large margin and tie Kyle Busch in career wins at 63.

For the first time this season, Tyler Reddick did not finish the race after a crash.  While he still holds on to the points lead, it is considerably smaller after Denny Hamlin’s win.h
