Another award winning television star is set to make their debut on Broadway next month.

“This is Us” star Chrissy Metz will make her Broadway debut in the jukebox musical “& Juliet” on June 18 in a limited engagement.

Jeanette Bayardelle currently holds the role of Angelique in “& Juliet”.  Her final performance is June 14; Metz will take over the role on June 18 and run until September 13.

While the appearance will be her Broadway debut, it will not be Metz’ first appearance on the New York stage.  In 2017 she was a part of the benefit reading of the Neil LaBute play “Fat Pig” for MCC.

Speaking on the upcoming role, Metz said via statement, “I’m so excited to be making my Broadway debut, and to do it in a show that is this joyful feels like an absolute dream come true.  I think some of the hardest working, most creative people work in live theatre and well, Broadway scares me to bits, which is why I have always wanted to do it. Pray for me!”

“& Juliet” flip the script on the Shakespearian play and puts to music what might have happened if Juliet did not die along with Romeo.

Running on both the West End and Broadway, “& Juliet” will celebrate 1,500 performances next month on June 23.
