This weekend is a triple header event for NASCAR at Texas Motor Speedway. The Craftsman Truck Series gets the weekend started on Friday night under the lights.
Just one day before the race, there have been a number of changes to the lineup in the Truck Series.
A number of teams in the Truck Series run trucks with multiple drivers who rotate throughout the season. NASCAR allows the Cup Series drivers to schedule a few races each season in the Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
These two factors have helped to determine the driver lineup for this weekend.
O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver William Sawalich will be driving the Tricon Garage number five truck to replace Chase Briscoe who was originally scheduled to drive the truck at Texas.
Cory Roper will be driving the number 62 truck; replacing Christopher Bell.
O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Brandon Jones will be taking over the driving duties in the Tricon Garage number one truck for Corey Heim.
Texas Motor Speedway is a 1.5 mile track that offers drivers some valuable track time and allow the teams to gather some important information for future Texas races and other 1.5 mile tracks.
Other notable drivers participating in the Speedy Cash 250 are Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar, and Ram has tapped FOX broadcaster Parker Kligerman as the driver of the number 25 guest truck entry.
