The official date for a show to be considered for inclusion in the Tony Award nominations was Sunday April 26. Shows will be eagerly awaiting the next week for the annual reveal of the annual Tony Award nominations.
Every show currently running on Broadway is now open, but some of the shows are still comping seats. And leading the list of the new shows is the one man show starring Daniel Radcliffe “Every Brilliant Thing”.
In the Million Dollar Club this week, Radcliffe is behind the show that features the character that launched his stardom – “Harry Potter and the cursed Child”.
Tom Felton continues to reprise his role as Draco Malfoy; keeping the Harry Potter play at the top of the list and bringing in over $2 million at the box office.
The Broadway box office continues to stay ahead of last season’s numbers at the box office and looks to be poised to set a new record for this year. Last week the 40 shows running brought in over $40 million at the box office.
Sixteen of the 40 shows running made it into the Million Dollar Club last week with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” was the only show to enter the $2 Million Dollar Club.
