I don’t use emojis a great deal; mostly on texts to friends – the good old OK sign or thumbs up to acknowledge a remark and the smiley face.
But there are times when an emoji is needed to show intent of a remark – sarcasm, funny stuff, etc.
I have upon occasion used a happy face when I have written responses in the prompts but I don’t feel they really have a place in a news or feature article.
When it comes to social media posts and the like, they are great and have plenty of use; but I am not big on posts on a daily basis. I use social media to post article links or an occasional repost of a news article.
I do seem to get a lot of use out of the laundry emoji….lol.
