The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series kicks off a double header weekend at Talladega Superspeedway for the Ag-Pro 300.

Thirty-eight teams have brought cars to Talladega for 38 starting spots.

The drivers take to the track for a double round of qualifying where the top 10 drivers will make a second round of qualifying to set the pole.

The drivers get no practice before making their qualifying runs.

Tyler Ankrum is making his O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut driving the 32 truck for Jordan Anderson.  He says that he is excited and nervous and kept asking Anderson, “are you sure???”

Also making his Talladega debut, 18 year old Brent Crews who said that he is excited to get on the track.

The first driver on the track to qualify is Patrick Emerling  with a time of 53.140 seconds.

Justin Allgaier, Sheldon Creed, Jesse Love, and Taylor Gray are the four Dash-4-Cash drivers this week.

The 02 car driven by Ryan Ellis will start the race from the back of the field after the crew made some unapproved adjustments to the car

Stages one and two are just 25 laps each with stage three lasting 63 laps for a total of 113 laps around the 2.66 mile track.

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is a part of Corey Day’s pit crew today – he will be waving the signboard.

Jesse Love brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Sam Mayer alongside. Love gets out in front for the lead.

The caution flag comes out on lap one when Patrick Staopoli gets lose and into the wall.  David Starr was also involved.  Drivers were running three wide when the incident occurred.

Lap 13, Sam Mayer is the new leader with Jesse Love in second; Corey Day, Carson Kvapil, and Sammy Smith round out the top five.

Lap 15, Sam Mayer leads the race with the field three wide.

Lap 16, the top five are Sam Mayer, Jesse Love, Carson Jvapil, COrey Day, and Sammy Smith.

Jesse Love retakes the lead with Carson Kvapil in second; Sam Mayer, Corey Day, and Rajah Caruth round out the top five.

With eight laps remaining in stage one, Carson Kvapil takes the lead.

Talladega has a “no-go” line – the double yellow line is out of bounds; any driver that goes below the line to advance their position will have to serve a penalty.  If one driver pushes another driver below the line, there is no penalty.

Six laps to go in stage one, Jesse Live takes the lead.

Five to go in stage one, Sam Mayer battles with Jesse Love for the lead.

David Starr is out of the race with a mechanical issue.

Garrett Smithley was caught speeding on pit road, Mason Maggio had an uncontrolled tire. The drivers will restart the race from the back of the field.

Harrison Burton takes the lead but Carson Kvapil comes up on the inside to battle for the lead.

Drivers are getting four wide with the field three wide.

Eighteen year old Brent Crews has worked his way up to second place and is challenging leader Taylor Gray for the lead.

With 52 laps remaining in the race, Austin Green takes the lead with Taylor Gray in second; Brent Crews, Corey Day, and Sheldon Creed round out the top five.

Fifty to go, Sheldon Creed takes the lead.

Rajah Caruth is the new leader.

With 49 laps to go, Sheldon Creed retakes the lead.

With 48 to go, the battle continues between Austin Green, Rajah Caruth, and Sheldon Creed for the lead.

Justin Allgaier has entered the top 15 after restarting the race back in the field.

The drivers will have to make a pit stop during stage three in order to finish the race.

With 45 to go, Jesse Love moves up to join the battle for the lead with Austin Green and Rajah Caruth.

Forty-four to go, Justin Allgaier has entered the top 10.

Drivers begin making their green flag pit stops with 44 laps to go in the race.

With 43 to, Justin Allgaier has entered the top five.

Forty-two to go, more drivers come down pit road for service and things got a little hairy but the drivers avoided any crashes.

William Sawalich was caught speeding on pit road and will have to serve a passthrough penalty.

Forty to go, a big batch of drivers come down pit road for service including leader Rajah Caurth.

Brennan Poole is the new leader; Garrett Smithley, Lavar Scott, Josh Bilicki, and Mason Maggio round out the top five.  The top five drivers have yet to make their pit stop.

With 35 laps to go, Jesse Love takes the lead with Jeb Burton in second; Sheldon Creed, Austin Green, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.

Justin Allgaier and Carson Kvapil were charged with a blend line violation and will have to serve a passthrough penalty.

Sixteen to go, Sam Mayer gets loose after some on track contact, but saves the car and the track stays green.

Fourteen to go, the drivers are single file with Jesse Love leading the way.

Thirteen to go, leaders are approaching slower penalty cars.

Ten to go, Jesse Love leads the race with Shedon Creed on his bumper; Ryan Sieg, Blaine Perkins, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.

Just eight laps to go, the drivers have gotten spread out two and three wide with Jesse Love in the lead.

Sixt to go, Jesse Love, Sheldon Creed, and Jeb Burton battle for the lead with Sheldon Creed getting out in front.

Five to go, Sheldon Creed leads the race with Jeb Burton in second; Corey Day, Ryan Sieg, and Blaine Perkins round out the top five.

Three to go, a threw wide battle for the lead with Sheldon Creed, Sam Mayer, and Corey Day.

Sheldon Creed takes the white flag.

Sam Mayer gets loose and crashes.  More cars crash and the caution flag comes out.  Jeb Burton, Harrison Burton, and Ryan Sieg were among those involved.

Corey Day wins the race!

Sheldon Creed gets the Dash-4-Cash prize for the second week in a row.
