Daily writing prompt
What makes you nervous?

These days it might be easier to ask what am I NOT nervous about…

There awas a time when I paid little to no attention to the goings on in Washington, D.C.

The man in the White House oversaw the daily goings on and Congress made sure the money was there to pay for stuff.

Now it seems like the government…or at least some part of it…is shutdown more than it is open and since my monthly allowance is proffered by Uncle Sam himself; there is often cause for worry.

Social Security is supposed to be sacred and not a part of any shutdown plans; but there is no guarantee that some greedy vindictive elected government official won’t decide that he needs his share first – despite already having millions in a few foreign bank accounts.

There are more temper tantrums going on in Washington, D.C. than the biggest three-year-old day care with all the toddlers wanting the same spot in the sand box!

Both political parties are so busy pointing fingers at each other that nothing is getting done. They spend more time arguing over illegal laws that not a single one of them has bothered to actually read the document they swear to uphold and defend when they take the oath of office

Don’t you think it would be a good idea to KNOW what it is you took an oath to defend???

Maybe it’s time to worry about what is in the government documents and stop worrying about what books are on the library and books store shelves.

There are days where I truly wonder if the expression, “the inmates are running the asylum” isn’t appropriate for the United States government because it certainly seems like the entire administration is to put it lightly, out of their ever-loving minds!!!

I’d say that was plenty to be worried about…no wonder they’re all getting drunk!

I have enough anxieties and phobias on my own without having to worry about the chaotic goings on in the Nation’s capitol.
