Over the past few weeks Broadway has been seeing some record breaking events at the box office; but last week the numbers were down a full 10%; however, nine of the 40 shows currently running are still in previews which means a high number of comped tickets.
With just five weeks remaining in the 2025-26 season, the box office numbers still look good to set another record.
Just 14 of the 40 shows made it into the Million Dollar Club last week with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” the only show to break the $2 million mark.
