Olympic gold medal winning gymnast and “Dancing with the Stars” champion Laurie Hernandez makes her Broadway deubt in a limited run as Charmion in “& Juliet”.
Hernandez spoke on the role in a statement saying, “I’ve always been such a Broadway fan, so to make my Broadway debut in ‘& Juliet’is a dream come true. The show is so much fun to watch as an audience member, and I can’t wait to join this incredible cast and actually perform in the show each night.”
Celebrating three years on Broadway, the jukebox musical “& Juliet” turns the Shakespeare play on its head and imagines what might have happened if Juliet had survived the pact with Romeo.
The musical was the first show in the 2022-23 season to recoup its investments.
