In the final medal count for the 2026 Milan Cortina Paralympics, China takes home a total of 44 medals – 15 of them gold – to lead the 27 nations who earned medals. 

Team USA secured the second spot with a total of 24 medals – 13 of them gold – including a very special gold that made a historic moment in the world of hockey.

With a score of 6 – 2, the Team USA sled hockey team beat Canada to win the gold medal and join the women’s Olympic hockey team and the men’s Olympic hockey team to become the first nation ever to win gold in all three events!

On the final day of events, New Zealand joined the list of nations to win a medal.
