In true dynastic fashion, the United States sled hockey team won their fifth gold medal in a row defeating Team Canada 6-2.

Even more, for the first time in history Team USA hockey won the gold medal in women’s hockey, men’s hockey, and Paralympic sled hockey!  No nation has ever earned the gold medal in all three events…until now.

It took Team USA women and men overtime for a 2-1 victory, but in a day when the best player in the world Declan Farmer looked merely pedestrian; going undefeated throughout the tournament, the sled hockey team scored first in a first period power play and never looked back.

Megan Keller and Jack Hughes were the heroes in the Olympic Games; defenseman Jack Wallace earned the hat-trick plus an assist for the star of the game.

Team USA forward Declan Farmer had a historic Paralympics of his own when he became the all time scoring leader with 58 points.  He also set a new record for the most goals in a single Paralympics with 14 and the most points with 24.
