On day three of the Milan Cortina Paralympics 28 of the 79 events have been completed with the Russian National Anthem being heard in the mountains after Russia took home the gold in an alpine skiing event. It was the first time the Russian anthem was heard at an Olympic or Paralympic event in 12 years.
Team USA continues their dominance in sled hockey after beating Germany 13-0. Team USA has scored 27 points in their first two games. Declan Farmer has earned the title of most points scored in his sled hockey career with 53 and the team isn’t even out of pool play yet.
And for the first time ever in wheelchair curling, Team USA will move on to the semifinals.
China still holds on to the medal count lead with 17 overall medals – eight of them gold. Team USA moves into a tie for third.
