Cleetus McFarland made his Craftsman Truck Series debut at Daytona.

Next month he will be driving for Richard Childress Racing in the O’Reilly Auto Pars Series at Rockingham.

RCR has signed McFarland (real name Garrett Mitchell) to drive the number 33 car as a third RCR entry.  The car wash company Tommy’s Express will be the primary sponsor for the 33 car.

Cleetus spoke on his opportunity to drive for RCR saying, “to have the opportunity to make my NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut with a legendary race team like Richard Childress Racing is a dream come true.”

He added, “it’s a huge honor, and I am incredibly grateful to learn under the leadership of Richard Childress, Mike Verlander, Danny Lawrence and everyone in Welcome, North Carolina. Having Tommy’s Express on board for my debut makes it even more special.”

He concluded on RCR saing, “they’re a fast-forward brand that understands speed, performance, and connecting with people, which lines up perfectly with everything we are trying to accomplish.”

Tommy’s Express Chief Executive Officer Alex Lemmen spoke on being a sponsor for the 33 car saying, “we could not be more excited about hitting the track with Richard Childress Racing and Cleetus McFarland.”

Along with his Truck Series debut, McFarland has run in five ARCA Menards Series races.
