The annual All-Star Race with year will be against Miles the Monster at Dover Motor Speedway – also known as The Monster Mile.
NASCAR has released the format for the All-Star Race which will include a three lap qualifying run that will feature the Mechanix Wear Pit Crew Challenge.
The main event will be a 350 lap race that will be broken into segments. And of course, there are no points; just a $1million prize to the winner.
The All-Race will cap off a triple header weekend with races in the Craftsman Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
In an enhanced qualifying run, the drivers “will take the green flag and run one full lap at speed around the 1-mile circuit. The second lap will feature the Mechanix Wear Pit Crew Challenge, where each pit crew will perform a single four-tire stop with no gas. Competitors will then race back to the start/finish line, with qualifying encompassing the total time from green flag to checkered flag.”
The pit crew with the fastest pit stop with not penalties will win the Challenge. The Pit Crew Challenge results will determine pit stall selection for the race.
A big change this year…no All-Star Open race. The race order is being determined by the qualifying runs.
In the 350 Main Event, it is being divided into three segments – Segment one is 75 laps, Segment two is 75 laps with the first 26 spots inverted, and Segment three – 200 laps – will have only the top 26 drivers – the 2025 Cup Series winners and the 2026 Cup Series race winners, former Cup Series champions still competing full time, and the Fan Vote winner. The remainder of the field will be determined by the lowest combined finishing positons from the first two segments.
