Day eleven of the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina brought some firsts for a few of the athletes.  In figure skating Japan earned their very first gold medal in pair skating with the Georgian pair winning the silver medal for their first ever medal in figure skating.

With the Georgians winning a medal in figure skating, the number of nations to win medals in this Winter Olympic Games is now 26.

Norway continues to lead the gold medal count with 12 but has added a couple more medals to extend their lead to 28.  Host country Italy holds on to second place with 23 medals.
