In June the annual Tony Awards will make a return to Radio City Music Hall and after over 20 years, a new production team will take over the reins.
The award winning trio of Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall, and Jack Sussman have been named producers for 2026 and are taking over from White Cherry Entertainment.
American Theatre Wing President and CEO Heather Hitchens and Broadway League President Jason Laks spoke on the new production team in a joint statement saying, “the 79th Annual Tony Awards are in exceptional hands. With this team’s unmatched expertise in live events and bold creative vision, they will elevate the broadcast to new heights, building on last year’s record-breaking telecast while delivering a show that’s fresh, modern, and fully reflective of Broadway’s ever-evolving spirit.”
Kapoor, Levine Hall, and Sussman added jointly, “as former theatre kids, stepping into the role of executive producers for the 79th Tony Awards is a tremendous honor. There’s nothing quite like capturing the magic of live theatre on a global stage. Our team is committed to bringing audiences closer to the creativity, innovation, and heart that define Broadway.”
The 79th annual Tony Awards will be held on June 7 with the nominations being announced on May 5. Productions must have an opening date of April 26 in order to be eligible for the 2026 Tony Awards.
The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing.
