It’s the biggest night on Broadway, and for 2026 the Broadway Theatre Wing returns to Radio City Music Hall for the 79th annual Tony Awards on June 7.
The host for this year has not yet been announced. Last year Tony Award winning actress Cynthia Erivo did an excellent job in hosting the gala event.
It will not be until May 5 before fans know which of the plays, musicals, actors, and crew members will earn nominations for their work.
The cut-off date for eligibility in the 2026 Tony’s is April 26.
In order to be eligible for the 79th annual Tony Awards, a show must have debuted on Broadway between April 28, 2025 and April 26, 2026.

Whie “Becky Shaw” and “Marjorie Prime” have never appeared on Broadway, they are expected to be classified as classics and therefore eligible under the Revival category.
