NNASCAR Cup Series driver Greg Biffle and his family were killed in a plane crash December 18, 2025.  Biffle was 55.

Biffle, his family, and three others were on a Cessna Citation business jet owned by Biffle when the plane crashed while attempting to land at the Regional Airport in Statesville, North Carolina.  Wife Cristina and children Ryder and Emma were also on board the plane; as were Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and Craig Wadsworth.

It has been determined by the NTSB – National Transportation Safety Board – that Biffle was not piloting the plane at the time of the crash.

Biffle was named one of the 75 Greatest Drivers during the 75th anniversary year of NASCAR.

During the recent hurricanes in North Carolina and Tennessee, Biffle flew his helicopter into the ravaged area delivering supplies and rescuing stranded citizens for which he won the NMPA Myers Brothers Award.

During his racing career, Biffle won 19 Cup Series races with 515 race starts; as well as, 17 Truck Series and 20 Xfinity Series races.  He is a champion driver in the Craftsman Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (formerly the Busch and Xfinity Series).

Biffle spent most of his racing career at Jack Roush Racing after some urging from Benny Parsons to “take a look” at the Vancouver, Washington native.
