In another week Bad Bunny will give a historic performance during halftime at the Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California. Super Bowl LX will host the first halftime show to be performed exclusively in Spanish.
While the announcement of Bad Bunny as the halftime entertainment has stirred up some controversy; the Puerto Rican star has proved to be a very popular concert and streaming draw.
Recently on tour, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour has brought in record setting numbers. Last month alone the tour grossed nearly $100 million – $99.1 million in December – for 10th all time in the history of the chart. And he did it with performances in only two cities – San Jose, Costa Rica and Mexico City, Mexico. And he beat out Trans Siberian Orchestra for the top spot in the process!
Bad Bunny has consistently topped the Billboard top tour chart. He has done so for the eighth time in a row!
With that eighth chart topping feat, Bad Bunny breaks the tie with Beyonce, Coldplay, and Sir Elton John to take the all time lead.
Currently amidst a tour, Bad Bunny could easily extend his chart topping lead before the tour ends over the summer.
Back in 2022 as artists were emerging from the pandemic hiatus, Bad Bunny grossed a whopping $12.7 million in the month of September.
The overall gross concert draw for December was $493 million.
And Bad Bunny performs only in his native Spanish!
