The Cook Out Clash is scheduled to kick off the 2026 NASCAR season this weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium, but Mother Nature had other plans – like dumping a big pile of snow all over the south!
As a result, NASCAR has postponed the practice, qualifying, and heat race events for The Clash on Saturday.
Practice and qualifying for the Cook Out Clash is rescheduled for 2pm on Sunday with the Last Chance Qualifier set for a 6pm start. The main event is currently scheduled to go on at 8pm Sunday night with Winston-Salem authorities keeping a close eye on meteorological events.
The Cook Out Madhouse Classic Modified and Sportsman race has also been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The Clash Fan Fest across from Bowman Gray Stadium will not be open.
The Clash Preview at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Event Center is currently scheduled to run from 10am to 2pm on Friday. A new event, the preview will allow race fans an opportunity for access to the Cup Series cars, drivers, and live entertainment prior to racing events.
FOX Sports channel FS2 will carry practice and qualifying events with FOX carrying the evening’s events as previously scheduled.
Race fans with tickets can get more information at www.nascarclash.com/weather or by calling 855-525-7223.
