Ram Trucks returns to NASCAR this season in the Craftsman Truck Series. Kaulig Racing has put their O’Reilly Auto Parts Series team on hold while they concentrate on fielding the five Rams for the Truck Series.
Three of the trucks will be running with full time drivers – Brendan “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye, and Jusitn Haley – with the fourth truck fielding a variety of drivers.
But for the fifth truck…
Kaulig has something special planned…
A reality competition! “15 Drivers. 10 Challenges. 1 Seat” will debut January 25 on FOX and move over to the Ram YouTube channel for the remaining episodes through February 6. The winner earns a spot in Kaulig Racing’s fifth Ram truck when the season begins February 13 at Daytona International Speedway.
“Race for the Seat” has UFC CEO Dana White and Thrill Sports Productions as executive producers with Kaulig Racing’s Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis, and Dana White offering commentary.
Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis spoke on the new series via a statement saying, “we promised Ram would approach NASCAR differently — and ‘Race For The Seat’ is proof. Sometimes raw talent isn’t enough. Many successful careers start with an opportunity, a lucky break — or in my case, a good old-fashioned kick in the ass.”
The competition will take place on a variety of race tracks including Virgina International and at Sout Boston.
