While on a family skiing trip, RFK co-owner Brad Keselowski broke his leg on Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, Kes had surgery to repair the fracture.  He hopes that all will be healed and ready when the season begins in February.

The 41-year-old driver spoke via statement saying, “I’m grateful for the medical team who took great care of me and for the support system around me. My attention now is fully on recovery. I’m motivated to get back to full strength as quickly as possible and will work relentlessly to be ready for Daytona.”

Via social media he added, “life has a way of reminding you to slow down. Grateful for my family by my side, an excellent medical team, and the ability to take a few steps forward today. Focused on Daytona. Bonus – I’m now bionic!”

The 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion joined Roush-Fenway Racing in 2021 as a co-owner/driver and has transformed the team into a three car winning franchise with himself, Chris Buescher, and Ryan Preece.

He needs just seven races in 2026 to reach the 600 career race start milestone.
