LOL, as I sit here waiting for WallyWorld (what my dad calls Walmart) to deliver my grocery order…

One of my biggest purchases are my weekly supply of drinking stuff – Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, or Pepsi Zero…no adult beverages!

Today’s order doesn’t include any of those for the simple reason that I was out with a friend earlier this week and took full advantage of a sale at a local grocery store – buy two any six packs of 16.9 ounce bottled Coke products and get FIVE free. For just $21.08 I came home with SEVEN six packs of Diet Coke!!!!! That’s nearly two weeks worth of drinks.

Blocks of cheddar cheese, Greek yogurt – taking advantage of the pumpkin flavour but usually banana cream or lemon -, whipped cream – for mixing with the yogurt -, and some frozen dinners seem to always be a part of the order.

As for the yogurt, if I make an order for Aldi, I can get Key Lime pie flavoured Greek yogurt YUM!

Long ago, someone came to an event with a yogurt pie. In those days, Greek yogurt was not found on American shelves. The recipe was simple – half yogurt, half whipped cream (Cool Whip), and a graham cracker crust.

Well, I don’t use the pie crust but I really do enjoy mixing the Cool Whip and yogurt together – makes a nice lunch.

Living alone, it is often much cheaper to buy a frozen dinner than fixing everything separate – love me some beef and broccoli with rice. And then there’s the Shepard’s Pie!!!!! Only trouble is it takes 45 minutes to an hour to cook the stuff in the oven. Man, I got to get me a new microwave!
