Broadway gives fans a reason to “see it again” with actors taking a break from a show and new talent fills in for a limited engagement.
The latest of these are in the Tony Award winning show “The Outsiders” and long running smash hit musical “Chicago”.
Beginning December 16, John Patrick Collins will take over the role of Bob Sheldon for a three week limited run while current Bob Kevin Csolak leaves the show.
Csolak took over the role from original “Bob” from Kevin William Paul. On January 6, Paul will be returning to reprise his role of Bob.
“The Outsiders” opened at the Jacobs Theatre on April 11, 2024 and took home the award for Best Musical; as well as, Best Direction, Lighting, and Sound Design.
Broadway veteran Robyn Hurder is returning to the hit musical “Chicago” – which is celebrating its 29th anniversary on Broadway – on December 15 to reprise her role as Velma Kelly – she last portrayed the role in March of 2024. She is making a limited engagement return that will run through January 11.
Hurder created the role of Ivy Lynn in the musical “Smash”. She has also appeared in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”, “The Beautiful Noise”, “Nice Work If You Can Get It”, “Grease”, “The Wedding Singer”, and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”.
