Just as they did with “Dark Side of the Moon”, Pink Floyd has released a 50th anniversary edition of their album “Wish You Were Here”. But unlike “Dark Side of the Moon”, the new album also features new music.
The 50th anniversary collection includes rarities and previously unreleased alternate versions and demos of the album.
“Wish You Were Here 50” includes the poem “Dear Pink Floyd” by UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage.
The album is being offered in 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, digital, and a Deluxe Box Set.
The digital download includes the original album, 25 bonus tracks that includes nine studio rarities, and 16 live recordings.
The Blu-ray edition includes three concert films.
The LP and CD collections include the original album plus nine bonus tracks.
And the Deluxe Box Set the 2CDs, the 3LP’s on clear vinyl, Blu-ray, a fourth clear vinyl LP of Live at Wembley 1974, a replica Japanese single of “Have a Cigar”, and a hardcover book titled “Welcom to the Machine” featuring photos, and a comic book tour programme.
