Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

I’m not sure I have just one place that I have been. ..

A beach – any beach – is always a good place to go.

If it is a restaurant, the my favourite place to go is the Hard Rock Cafe.

Despite the tragedy and sorrow related to the trip, I really loved it when I was in St. Petersburg, Russia. Known as the Venice of the North, St. Petersburg is built around 24 canals. I could walk the main street of the city any afternoon and find several street musicians. One afternoon while crossing Nevsky Prospect in the underground tunnel, I found three different music groups – one on each end and one in the middle. As soon as you got out of the earshot of one, another came in to listening distance. The Beatles were the most popular songs to perform.

Watching street musicians was how I met Peter.

And there were art galleries and theatres all over the place…lots of culture to explore. And history everywhere.

A little closer to home, I love New York City. I would even move there if I could but it is far too expensive to live there. The last time I was there I was with my brother for my nephew’s fight. He hated the big city! His idea of a big adventure was taking the subway train from the hotel in Times Square to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. 🙂

In four trips I have been to my first Broadway musical, took a short walk in Central Park, saw the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, went to Liberty Island, eaten at Katz, and saw my nephew win a professional boxing match.
