The Broadway holiday season began last week but a missing performance or two did not harm the week at all with a box office draw of over $48 million from over 300,000 theater buffs.  That is a 19% increase from the previous week and 30% over last year.

A total of 23 of the 34 productions currently running on Broadway made it into the Million Dollar Club with six of them earning multiple million dollar box office draws.  The number one show came just short of reaching the $5 million mark!

Last Wednesday was the last performance for Leslie Odom Jr as Aaron Burr in “Hamilton” to set a new record.

The revival of “Mamma Mia” not only is a part of the Million Dollar Club, but brought in over $2 million for the first time.

Getting some help from the original Draco Malfoy – Tom Felton – “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” set a new record of over $3 million at the box office.

It was a week for record setting; “Chicago” set a single show record on Thanksgiving night with $151,362” at the box office – breaking the record from last year.

There were 22 shows in the 90% Club last week with seven shows having at least 100% audience capacity.  After topping the list in the 90% Club since it opened, last week “Just in Time” finally dropped out of the number one spot last week and this week, it failed to make the 90% Club.
