Name your top three pet peeves.

I would have to say that my biggest pet peeve are the sports broadcasters who have a gross misunderstanding of the proper verbal associations with their subject matter.

Nearly all of them have issues with go, went, gone and did, done, did.

It drivers me nuts when I hear things like he done it instead of he did it; he gone instead of he went, and the like; I cringe.

Some of those guys get paid a great deal of money for yapping; at least they could get the verbiage right. And I swear the racing guys are the worst!

And then there’s the clowns on social media that think that it is okay to insult everyone’s intelligence. It’s one thing to pop off remarks to someone they know; but it is a different issue all together to throw them out to complete strangers whom they are clueless.

Like some of the memes popping say, you don’t know anything about the person or what kind of day they are having. Some people do not respond well to such harsh insults and can lead to drastic outcomes…but these clowns never stop to THINK!

I used to ignore such remarks, but no more! I confront the attack and force them to back it up. Only thing is, most of them never respond.

And then there’s the complainers… I live in snow country; there are people here who complain about the cold weather and then turn around in summer and complain about the heat…come on now, pick one.

Complaining constantly about everything is very annoying to have to hear. Yeah, I know, sounds like a bunch of complaints…and I suppose it is; but that doesn’t change the fact it is a pet peeve of mine.

In general, I try not to complain about things, it doesn’t do any good. And I may much around with the English language, but when it counts, I know how to use it properly. When I am online, I try hard not to insult anyone…even though it’s hard sometimes; but I will defend my remarks.
