The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just a few weeks away. Millions of parade fans will be lining the streets of New York City with billions more looking on with their televisions and online devices.
While the man in the big red suit is usually the biggest star of the show; pop, roc, country, R&B, and other music stars will be a part of the parade situated on various floats.
Joining the lineup this year are Ciara, Foreigner, Lil Jon, Kool & the Gang, Busta Rhymes, Mickey Guyton, Teyana Taylor, KPop Demon Hunters, Christopher Jackson, Darlene Love, Dibbie Gibson, Drew Baldridge, Matteo Bocelli, Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, Meg Donnelly, Mr. Fantasy, Roman Mejia, Taylor Momsen, Calum Scott, Shaggy, Lauren Spencer Smith, Luísa Sonza, and of course the high flying balloons overhead.
And prior to the arrival of the iconic parade at Harold Square, ballet dancer Tiler Peck, Sean Evans, Audrey Nuna, EJAE and Rei Ami, the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, figure skating champion skater Ilia Malinin, U.S Paralympian Jack Wallace, Nikki DeLoach, Kristoffer Polaha, and the casts from the hit Broadway shows “Buena Vista Social Club”, “Justin in Time”, and “Ragtime” will perform.

Joining Snoopy and all of his balloon friends flying high this year will be the new balloons Buz Lightyear, Pac-Man, Mario, and an onion carriage with Shrek and friends.
Holland America Line, LEGO, Lindt chocolates, the Serta sheep, and the hit show “Stranger Things” will all feature new floats this year.
The New York City Police Department Marching band will be joining the parade lineup this year.
For many years long before “Christmas in July”, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was deemed the official beginning to the holiday season. Seeing Santa at the end of the parade signaled the season had begun.
A year long event in the planning, over 5,000 Macy’s employees volunteer their time to make the annual parade a reality.
