It was the final weekend of racing before the championship weekend and the championship four are set in all three racing series after a wild weekend of racing at Martinsville that saw overtime racing in tow of the three series but no Hail Melons (they have been outlawed).

When the Cup Series race began William Byron, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, and reigning champion Joey Logano were all below the cut line and facing elimination.  After leading over 300 laps, William Byrn took his 24 car to victory and earned him a spot in the championship four with Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, and Kyle Larson; leaving Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, Christopher Bell, and Chase Elliott out of the competition.

Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe were safe after winning races in the round; both drivers had engine issues during the race and retired before the end of the race.

In the championship four, JR Motorsports drivers occupy three of the four spots with Connor Zilisch, Carson Kvapil, Justin Allgaier, and Jesse Love competing for the championship at Phoenix.

Sam Mayer, Sammy Smith, Sheldon Creed, and Brandon Jones were eliminated after the race.
